One of mine is still taking care of her 10wk olds and adopted an 8wk old into her group yesterday.

Depends on the time of year for ours. If it's early they will ditch their first hatch pretty much once they are about half feathered or a little more to go start another nest. They usually group back up with them at night though. Right now I have 2 mamas who hatched within 2 days of eachother and decided to join up and co-mother. They won't be making another go at a hatch this year I'm sure so they are still with their babies. All our muscovies are free range, I don't know if that makes a difference.
