What percent protein do you feed your Muscovy's? I am new to this breed and my one is getting angel wings. I have never had this issue with any of my other ducks. I read high protein levels cause this and Muscovy's tend to be effected even more. My Muscovy are around 8 weeks right now. They house with other ducks that are around 4.5 weeks old. I am feeding all of them an 18% right now. Thanks!

Angel wing is not a widely understood problem with waterfowl, and sadly, people tend to put too much emphasis on that a high protein diet will cause AW, and forget about the other common causes such as lack of exercise, genetics, low protein, etc. If only one bird is being affected, it seems more like a genetically related problem, and to be clear, 18% protein is just fine.

Are you aware how to wrap AW, if not, you may read into this thread.

Best of luck.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I did wrap her for 48 hours and one wing looks like it is better but the other is still out there. I took it off last night and will put it back on later today. Do you know how long it takes to fix them with a wrap?
