Is this Mushy Chick and what should I do with the chick?

They are still in the incubator drying out.

Is this just a cull situation? Or can it get better on its own at all? It seems to not have any other symptoms except the fluid sac on its low back.

It seems to have just finished absorbing the yolk and still totally wet the belly akways seems very bloated.
I would just let it be and observe.

Who is this little one?

No, the picture doesn’t show it as well but this is mostly on its back, and there’s no feather fluff on it, it’s just a loose skin sac with fluid in it giggling around.

I wish I knew. A lot of the Brahmas hatched overnight while I was asleep or they hatched simultaneously and the incubator was so full I didn’t have time to run and see what egg it was. I only know a handful of the Brahmas hatch order.

I just don’t know which one it is. I can decode which ones it isn’t lol and that’s about it.

Ah, now I get it.

Some time ago there was someone on here with a similar case. Let me try to find it.

Edit: I could not find right now.
Usually the fluid will be absorbed within a few days.
If it does not bother the chick I would leave it alone as puncturing/cannulating to remove the liquid can cause infection.
But mark the chick with a special leg band to be able to monitor. And I would not incubate its offspring.
