I’m going to use valbazen on 2 chickens they have their own coop at night but they hang out with my ducks daytime. Do I need to keep them separate and if so how long? I’m not deworming any ducks. Just 2 chickens.

I’m answering my own post lol I think if worms are going to come out in their poop it would be horrible if a duck tried to eat that yuck! So I’m thinking keep separate but for how long ???

Despite popular belief while ducks are more resistant to certain parasites than chickens they are still able to get them. Ducks are especially susceptible to roundworms.
I did not know that!

So perhaps it would be better to deworm both chickens as well as the ducks?

I guess deworm the geese too? Ive had ducks 7 years and geese 3 years and never dewormed anybody. I bought Valbazen and also bought safeguard paste. Now I need to figure out how much everyone weighs? I know my gander was 10 pounds last time he saw the vet and my harlequins were 3.5 pounds, but my orpington chickens? I will try to weigh them on my bathroom scale lol Thank you so much for your help!!!!
