My 16 hr old goslings are not actively eating or drinking -yet

Should I be concerned? Do I need to dip their beaks into food and water to encourage them, or is this a natural behavior? I just dipped briefly, and there was not much interest. These are incubated goslings, and I plan to put them with a female goose (not mom) in about a week. Thanks!!

Just 16 hours old? No need for concern, they are still absorbing the egg yolk for up to 72 hours.

Thank you so very much! I am new to baby geese. They are now doing very well and will meet with their new Mother goose on Friday
