So, after a terrible week in which I lost 7 chickens to what I believe to be a fox attack, my broody (who didn't get attacked cause she was in "lockdown") hatched out 6 eggs! 1 died shortly after it was born cause it was still all wet looking, 1 that I saw hoppin around yesterday died while I was at work today, but 4 are doin great. I just wanted to share the pics. They are all mutt chickens I think. There is a small possiblilty that there is a partridge rock bantam in there, but the rest are mutts. Mom just brought them out of the nest this morning for food, too bad it suddenly got cold overnight. I have the coop all closed up to try and keep warmth in there. This is great news and I hope they all make it to be adults, especially since they are offspring of a few of that disappeared when the fox attack happened.
