Okay so I bought an incubator (and know I will soon be falling into the fate of a hatchaholic

)

Here's what I got:

Hova Bator Incubator (Model 1602N) with
Hova Bator Egg Turner with Universal Racks (Model 1611)
Circulated Air Fan Kit and
Digital Thermometer & Hygrometer with Min/Max Memory

So I have been diiieing to hatch some Muscovies. But heard they are hard to hatch, and was also looking to hatch Turkeys.

I have heard both are not the easiest to hatch.

So as a total incubator virgin

- literally, I have never used one!

Should I start with some chickens first? Not a real expensive breed, and see how that goes? Before I venture into expensive breeds? If so what are good things to start out with?

Any other good advice that would be helpful?

I think the next swap I will go to see what they have cheap - hatch them and then just sell them at the next swap.

So I can finally get my scovie eggs!
