My 3 week old duckens

(this is their sipper- they do have a bucket to dunk their heads in and they sure do) Sometimes they will lay by it and take sips. So silly.


Keeping an eye on me, this was about as close as they let me get. I was using a 105mm lens.

Is this normal? She's not as much of a 'dunker' as some of the others. They get all crazy in the water bucket. So her eyes aren't always as clean as they others (have kinda always been like that really). She is majorly getting her feathers (funky looking white spots)- I'm so excited to see her transform since I don't really know what she is (or he). She's still pretty to me.

When you asked if it was normal, was it her eyes? I cannot see much different, but mine are tired right now.

If she doesn't dunk her head much, I wonder if a strategically placed pea might change her mind. Just a thought. But then, you might have mayhem in the brooder. Hmmmmm.
