You know your raising a future chicken farmer, when... your standing there looking in the brooder with your 4 year old daughter....
and she can point out a silkie, buff orpington (kinda hard to say for her), and cochins....

She also sleeps with a stuffed duckie EVERY night. LOL

HAHAHAHAA

Isn't that great! I was surprised at how my 2 youngin' bonded with our chicks too. Chickens are really a wonderful learning experience for kids!
Tell that little girl she's sooo smart! There's grown-ups that arn't that smart!

It is great! My 5-yr old daughter just told my mother-in-law that chicks don't pee. It's in their poop. And then she said about our silkie, Look at his beautiful crest! Gotta love it!

That's cute!! Here's what my 5 yr old niece learned...calls me up and says "Got any fluffy butts yet?" She knows I am incubating and when they are due to hatch...on pretty much every hatch! Kids are funny!

My 4 year old is an enabler, whenever we have no chicks hatching or brooding she will say "when you gonna put some eggs in one of those incubators" LOL!!!!! ANd at Easter when we hatch out 2000 chicks at a time she's right there pulling them out of the hatcher, sorting them out like she works at a big hatchery somewhere !! She cracks me up big time.
