My 1.5 month old duck looked so lonely so I tryed letting her out with the big ducks but they were mean to her. Then I decided to put my 5 day old duckling in with her and find out what would happen. She became momma! My dh said I shouldn't put so much pressure on she is to young to have 5 baby duckling

She took them all for thier first swim but I didn't get the camera fast enough

They have took up with her like she's momma and I think she likes it. She had a buddy but something got it so shes been pretty lonely. They all seem to like the arrangement. At night they sleep under her. Its so cute

Oh how adorable. I do not think she is too young to have some company to pal around with and teach em the ropes...just like a big sister or a momma.

My 2 month old rouen became a baby sitter for my lone hatch (Uno) once she got big enough not to be accidentally squished by his big feet.

I think this is a great arrangement.
