My 6 week old pullet layed an egg

I found a small egg approx 1 inch long this AM. I have never seen a hen lay this young. Has anyone else seen this?

nope thats a first for me .. are you sure she is 6 weeks old

most likely its a mess up and she won't have any more till she gets to laying age.

I agree with colored egg farmer - a fluke and she probably won't lay again until she's older. Be extra watchful with her as she matures. Extra early layers can have more than their fair share of egg laying troubles.
