My 6 week old silkie is yelling at me!

Oh dear lord…my adorable white and black spotted 6 week old silkie is making this crazy sound in the mornings and trying to bite me when I lift the others for daily cuddles. Here’s. Ring video of said yell…rooster or future American Idol loser?? Eek! It’s not letting me post the video. Let’s just say it’s not pretty.

I’m raising them for a friend who’s totally happy having a rooster. I was just excited to get eggs from Shmutzy and possibly use him as a therapy chicken.

At 6 weeks old they should no longer be kept in a brooder inside the house but outside in a proper coop with additional secure run.

They need to be exposed to natural sunlight to be healthy and grow strong bones.
