My husband has already built a large coop and they have a run. I feed them organic feed and add mealy worms and grit. I raise my hens mainly for the eggs they will produce. A little about myself, not much really. At my age (77), I still attend College. I am a Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical scribe and now want to be a Medical Assistant. My family all have a medical background. Youngest is a Professor of Nursing and teaches, granddaughter is a registered nurse working with cancer patients. All in all, I am blessed. Now I raise my chickens and it is amazing how much joy they bring. They each have names so when my husband talks about cooking them, I get upset. If I can later, I would like to post pictures of my hens.

Chickens are the best therapy.
Yes, please do post pictures. It's easy! Click on the Upload a File button which will open your devices files and you can select the pictures you would like to post. Once you've selected all the pictures you want, up at the top of the list is a button to post them all either Full size or Thumbnail. Click one or the other and all the photos will paste into your post.
