My 8 week old chick is missing feathers. Advice?

This chick is eating well and seems to be fine, however, she is missing feathers on her back and parts of her wings.



I noticed that there is a bit of yellow on her skin where the feathers are missing. I also noted that she does pick on her back. I tried some blue gunk that keeps chickens from pecking, but that didn't seem to really help. Any suggestions what might be wrong or what might cause her to not have feathers? Thank you!

Do you have access to an Avian Vet? This may be nothing but sometimes it can be the first symptoms of something serious. thanks so much for the pictures as well! They help so much.

Something to try right now, dust your bird with Sevin or another product for mites and lice. This may be all you need to do. Also, if it is mites, all the birds have it and you'll need to clean and dust their coop, as well as them.

I wondered if it might be mites. I was afraid that they were too young to put a dusting powder on. Thank you for your advice.
