my abby cat had kittens!! UPDATED w/ NEW pics

i have a pair of abby cats xena and ruddy r their names. well i went to town on the 16th and came home to ruddy crying and acting weird like something was wrong. i didn't see xena so i called for her many times and she didn't come. at first i heard ruddy crying i thought it was a kitten so i searched the whole kitchen and couldn't find nothing then realized it was him,lol. so when she didn't come to her name(she had never done that before i knew something was wrong) i sent my son to look for her since he got home from school before my younger kid's. low and behold she was in one of my kid's dresser draws in their bedroom of all places. she was with 2 cold just born within 5-10 min kittens already, omg!!! here ruddy was freaking he knew something was wrong with xena boy what a smart kitty he is. had he not been acting weird i don't know if we'd of found the babies intime to warm them up. i was not for sure when she got pregnant but i thought by size of her she wouldn't go for about 2 weeks yet so she surprised me haveing them that quick.

so my 14 year old and i got a box and a towel and moved mom and babies to another room where it is warmer and quieter. she was not happy at first to be moved but had 3 more kittens she let me be there with her when she had. she did have some complications but was a trooper i'm so glad she let me be there with her to help. mom and babies r doing great she is a wonderful first time mom and i'm very happy for her the babies r gorgous. they r getting so chubby already. she has 2 fawn colored like her and 3 r ruddy colored like their daddy. i'll put pics below of everyone.

thanks, yes they will be going to new homes when fully weaned. i was going to make an announcement on a local list to start a waiting list of names for them so i can keep potential families up to date on info and pics till they r ready.

thank you, lol um i believe there is 2 girls and 3 boys if i remember right.

i like cats i have a dilute calico too and have taken many strays in over the years and found homes for them but i never truely fell in love with cats till i had these two,lol. they r my shadows and do everything with me. they r the most loveable cats i have ever met and so curous, just a pleasure to be around so loveing. they r not supost to be lap cats but they sleep with me or on the bunkbeds with the kid's and i can sit for hours holding and petting them. they get along with my other animals and r truely a joy to have. my other cat fred is a momma's girl she has an attitude,lol she is so much different than them. thanks, i knew they would be cute, but i must say i'm blown away at how adorable they really r now that they r fineally here. yes will definately update with pics as they grow.

I have had a LOT of cats in my likfe time. My Abby was THE favorite one of all of them. They are not only beautiful, but they have a personality like no other cat.

I think two things...

1. of course, it's not cool to breed cats.
2. with #1 outta the way....it sure is a whole lotta fun to have a bunch of little kitten peeps.

I've gotten to witness two "clutches" of kitty peeps and, #1 notwithstanding, I think everybody should get the chance to do so.
