My Ameraucana just died

Hi,

My not yet year old Ameruacana EE just died. She was acting normal and laying wonderful and then this afternnon my hubby went to check on the chickens this afternoon and she was laying in the coop dead. I want to know why... any suggestions? What about all her eggs she was laying, can we keep them? and the other chickens?

Also, I live in so cal near the ocean, the radiation hit today, in small numbers, that wont affect humans, but what about the chickens?

I don't know the answers for you. Our state will test birds for free if we ask them, you could try calling your dept of agriculture and see if they will test your flock.
