Do you have the quail clipped so they can't fly? I used to raise pheasants and ruffed grouse andsone of them were pretty tame but even so, they would fly a half mile if I let them.

I've got Chukar about the same age. They look like they're thinking what I had one doing overnite - flying out an then chirping because he was lonely
