My automatic coop door

So as much as I love going out each morning and evening to greet the girls, there were going to be times where it would not be possible. So I looked here at what others had done and then on you tube to come up with my own design. I was just going to buy a door but I liked the door I had already built and how it fit so used what I saw to be able to use my door.

I took over the family room with the materials and such and began testing various items. It seemed I had a package a day coming from amazon. Well the results came out great and the thing actually works. I even added the solar panel for keeping the battery up. Will be adding a small charger for winter time use.

Hi David, what did you end up buying on Amazon? I'm trying to invent something myself and it would be so helpful to see what worked for you.

Is that a sprinkler timer setup?

How about a parts list/write up on how you did it? I'm thinking of building one for my coop soon.
