Mine are now 5 weeks old and my daughter has sang to them every single day. She is four so some of the things she comes up to sing to them is so funny.
It is always nice when the dogs don't care about the birds.
My dogs were so great when the chicks were little like that. Now they really don't care since they are bigger now.
Enjoy there little stage, I just put mine outside yesterday and they spent there first night outside.
Too, too cute!! I cannot wait for our little babies to arrive - hopefully today or tomorrow. We'll have some Australorps and EE's too - Thanks for posting the pic and giving us a little preview of how adorable they're going to be!
LOL for the checking on the chickens their first night outside!
: My son said that someone needs a life -- but I would totally do that, and Love It! Wait - I've been even worse. We set up our brooder two days ago so that everything is ready for our chicks arrival - and several times a day we'll just go and sit next to the brooder box happily anticipating the happy chickie peeps and the darting around and the stretching wings and sprawling out under the heat light.
and I didn't know singing to them was good but I have been singing to them "rockabye chicken on the treetop" when they start to fall asleep. I am glad I am doing the right thing.
