One of the 2 week old babies must have coccidiosis. I have 2 that are 2 weeks and 8 New babies that I just added Friday. One of my girls is pooping blood. 1st, when I added the babies I moved everyone to a large water trough 6’ long with pine shavings... so they have been on them for 3 days. I am starting Corid in the water for all. Do I need to empty all of the pine out? Do I really separate the one I know is pooping blood Or just leave her since I know they are all going to be treated. I’m freaking out honestly....
ETA: they are on medicated chick feed
I let them all play on the dirt and then realized it’s where my little dog sometimes pees.. maybe that caused it? I feel horrible.

Your dog didn't cause this. Coccidia are everywhere in the soil, and different strains effect different species. Start the treatment, treat them all, you don't need to separate the one unless it's at risk of being hurt by the others. I would change out the shavings since the droppings can spread the coccidia. Also keeping feeders and waterers clean and free of droppings can also help. Chicks can be very messy. The dosing chart is below, use the severe outbreak dosing. In addition you can give some orally to the chick that you know has bloody droppings (or any others that look off) to help get the meds in quicker (you give that in addition to the medicated water), dosing is by weight for orally giving and instructions are here:

One just died. By giving orally, do you mean straight Corid? I have one more I need to treat asap

If you are using the corid liquid you can give it straight, .1ml per pound of weight or .02ml per 100 grams of weight. If you are using the powder then you need to mix 1/2 tsp of the powder with 2 tsp of water and then give .34ml per pound of weight or .07ml per 100 grams of weight. A little too much will not hurt them. You give the oral dose once a day for up to three days. If you have a digital kitchen scale, you can weigh them easily, if you don't have a scale then just give them a few drops.

Thank you coach723!! It means a lot that you took time to respond. One died in my 7 year olds arms, horribly sad. Now just trying to stay calm and handle this..

The same thing happened this year, I had a sick chick from a hatchery. It did not die it made all the others sick. I did not know what to do. I bought corid but before about 5 died in my daughters hands we tried to save them. There was like 13. That was a stressful experience. After a while the treatment worked. I wish when I saw blood I straight away put them on corid. Now they are all healthy. This all happened at Easter it was so sad.
