Hey,
So I had a thread about my barnevelder chicks that I just recently hatched about a week ago now. I wanted some opinions on what to do with one of the chicks. When she was born it appeared that she had splayed leg so I treated her for that, but after a few days I noticed that it wasn't helping. She can use her left leg, but she can't use her right leg at all. She is really healthy aside from her leg issue in that she is eating and drinking and hopping around with the other chicks. She has developed a sore on her right knee and I am assuming that's the reason that she isn't using that leg. Everyone here in iowa that I know tells me just to cull her, but other than her leg she is healthy and doing well like I said. So I was wondering if you all would give me some opinions on whether you thought I sould just cull her or some possible courses of action to treat the issue. My other concern is that if I don't cull her and I let her continue to live will her body weight just get to be too much for her one leg to support if I can't get her knee to heal.

sorry I know its kind of hard to see but its that dark spot on the back of her knee. She wouldn't hold still for me to take a photo lol
