My baby boy crowed today!

My BR rooster "chick" was trying his best to crow this morning. It was the cutest and saddest noise all at the same time

sounded like someone squeezing a duck! I can't believe he's only 6 weeks and already all grown up. His pullet friend had the funniest look on her face.

Mine are close to 6 weeks old and I swear I heard one trying to crow yesterday! I nearly fell over. Talk about a funny look on the face, in this case - that was me

My little boy is about six weeks old but I haven't heard him trying to crow yet.

ummm, mine might be a little slow...he is 11 weeks and crowed for the first time this morning. he sounded like a real pro tho! he was the "bonus" rare breed chick from mcmurray's...so don't know what kind.

Wow 6 weeks!?! Mine didn't start till about 8. I best the pullet had a priceless look, to bad you weren't ironically equipped with a camera.

I wish mine would crow. He is almost 8 weeks old and he has the smallest, most quiet peep out of the whole group! And it doesn't help that he is a fluffy cochin either, I just hope he lives up to his name Krull my husband gave him.

It's adorable when they start crowing. My little manly Barred Cochin started when he was about 7 weeks, and he sounded like a car that turned over and coughed instead of starting.

I may or may not have laughed hysterically at him

A couple of my 2.5 week-olds peep-screech like they are trying to crow! They flap their little wings, lean back, stretch their neck forward in an arch and make the most bizarre peep-screech noise! I'm sure they are trying to crow!

Several of my 3 week old seramas are crowing already (or should I say squeeking)...That seems to be normal for me.
