My baby chick died :.(

I woke up at 530 to see one of my babies really weak. It looked like it was paralyzed. But I picked her up and she moved. She was asleep in my hand but she wasn't moving at all

. Her breathing was pretty normal. I guess it could have been a little slow... I took her out of the brooder because the other ones were walking all over it. She went into her own brooder. She wouldn't move. Her feet were in the air and she was on her back. So I tried to lay her down normal and she flipped her head on her back. I got her head to lay down normal. Someone said on here that sugar water would help. But when my dad went to give it to her she was dead.

this is just really upsetting because I'm afraid she died in pain. I don't know what was wrong with her or why this was happening... Has this ever happened to anyone els. I thought maybe the other chicks hurt it, but she didnt have any signs of being pecked or anything.

someone please tell me how or what could happened to her.

Sometimes they are born with something wrong and we don't know why they don't make it. Hang in there.

I am so sorry for your baby chick. I have had them do that too, and it was awful, nothing seems to help. There is usually something wrong inside that causes this. Here is a big hug for you............

and may all your other chicks do well and grow up nice and healthy. HenZ

I know you care about your chicks and you did everything you could.

I lost one too. Bought 6 , one was weak a day later , seperated her , fed her , watered her, sugar watered her, no improvement for an entire week.
After she died, I went and bought another one, to even my numbers out again. Made me feel better too.
It just happens, I am sorry for your loss though, it is sad when a baby anything dies, in my opinion.
