This is my first post and im going to talk about Fiesco because he was a surprise rooster we didnt order him he just came and he was 2 when he was killed by my neighbor down the roads dog

. He was a nice Golden Laced Wyandotte they are an awesome breed ive got his 2 sisters left. Heres a picture...

Glad you could join the flock! Fiesco looks like he was a lovely roo, I'm so sorry you lost him :hugs Losing flock members us very sad and especially under those circumstances. Good luck with his sisters in the future.

It is always hard to lose beloved birds. At least you have his two sisters left to remember him by. I certainly agree that the Wyandotte is an excellent breed. My Wyandottes, both the hens and roosters, have had good temperaments and have been good egg layers. They're my favorite breed!

What a beautiful rooster. I'm sure the neighbor won't apologize or compensate you for the loss. They almost never do. Maybe you can check out the predator/ coops section for ways to give roaming dogs, etc. a big sendoff. Are you allowed to use some electrified fence wire around your coop and run? I'm so sorry for your loss and furious with folks who think their dog has the right to wander onto another person's property and do damage.
