My frizzle bantam cochin killed 4 of her chicks!

She has been banned from the broody room and my other hen has taken over her duties. This is the second batch she's hatched out and she didn't do this with the first one. I'm so peeved. I can't believe she would do this after she so diligently sat and hatched out her chicks. This is the last time I use a broody hen to hatch eggs, an incubator won't give me attitude.

Things happen with hens... Don't 'give up' because one hen was bad. Some hens know if the chick is 'off' or 'wrong' (like with eggs) and kill it.
A good way for Broodie's is double broody - we had a hen who would ditch each clutch, stuck her with another hen, 2 weeks later she's still going strong with the chicks.
Best of luck, and don't be discouraged because a hen went bad. Broodie's are great for profilic flock and save money on the electricity bill when it comes time to start the bator :D ;)
