My barncats killed a young weasel!

I have a cat named Bob not for bobcat but for his tail. He's part Manx, what was I to call him Stuby? His hind legs are longer than his front which are bowed. He walks like a bulldog. He is black and white with a goatee like Maynerd G. Krebs. I've often threatened to wipe it off his face. His tail is about an inch and half long and twitches in a most hecklarious way. He's my boy I raised him from a puppy. He is without a doubt the best cat that I've ever let own me. He's a top rated mouser. The only animal that has eluded him is a red squirrel. One day I went outside and here he came with what I thought was a red tree rat hanging from his meowing face. To my astonishment is was a short tailed weasel. He came in one morning limping badly and I checked him over and found no wounds or broken bones. I watched him for a day then took him to my vet, he couldn't find anything wrong with him either but kept him overnight and pumped antibiotics in him. We were both baffeled by his limp. I let him outside the next day and when I got home there was another weasel laying by the back door. He must have gotten bitten in the butt and went back to finish the job. He has 4 under his belt and the vet couldn't believe it when I told him. I'm now weasel free along with wolverines and polar bears. Bob is around 12 years old and doesn't go out at night when it's -20 like he used to. Instead he sleeps with his head on my pillow, under the covers and purrs us to sleep. When he dies I'm either having him stuffed or a hat made out him with his tail sticking straight up. He's not replaceable!
