My BCM 4.5y old makes strange noises

Today my BCM started to make strange noises, breathing with an open mouth. She acts normal, eats normal, behavior is normal just this strange loud breathing noise. No head shaking or anything. I took a video but somehow I can’t attach it. Any ideas?

Sounds like Stridor which is when some food/water or mucous is lodged in the airway. Usually this will resolve on its own within a day.

Have you ever had respiratory illness within your flock or have you added any new birds recently?

I have not added any chickens within the last 2 years. Had no illness in the flock and because of the avian flu in my area they were not allowed to free roam for the last 6 months. Yesterday we had really bad wind in this area not sure if that is related.

Thanks for asking. This morning all is normal again, no strange breathing so I guess you were right with the stridor
