Im not new at taking cear of chooks i had some in New Zealand about 20 in my garden but coming back to the UK my mum wont alow more then 5 i have 3 battery rescue and 2 arucina chickens at the moment.

Your battery rescue hens are Red Sex Links which are marketed under a number of labels such as Warrens, Isa Brown, Lohmann Brown, Red Shaver, Brown Shaver, Red Star, Cinnamon Queen, Golden Comet, etc. Even though they are past their laying peak, with good care you can probably get a couple of more decent laying years out of them.
