I've been breeding chickens for 8+ years. I've haven't done a new project in a while, so here goes! This is a place where I'll be sharing what I love about the breeds that I raise and some of my fun projects coming up.

BUT...before we get into the pictures, I have to say that I am a HUGE Japanese Bantam fan. I love them more than any other breed that I have (I also breed English Orpingtons and Silkies, so be prepared to see pics of those, too!). I have been collecting as many varieties as I can. Without further ado, let me share some pics!

Well, the day came and went. I didn't have time today to upload pics, so that'll have to be done tomorrow I suppose...

Anyways, I'll talk about my flock right now. This year I currently have 4 breeds that I raise: Japanese Bantams, English Orpingtons, Silkies, and French Marans. But I'm focusing on my Japanese Bantams and English Orpingtons this year.

For my Japanese Bantams, I currently have three pens. A black/black sex-linked pen, a barred pen, and a blue barred pen. I have been hatching their eggs all spring and will continue throughout summer. I'll post pics and updates for my upcoming hatches! I have some pullets and cockerels I'm growing out right now. Depending on how they feather out/body type/etc, they will be added to next year's breeding program. I've got some Black Tailed Whites, Whites, Gray and Mottled grow outs.

Now for my English Orpingtons. I have one pen I'm working hatching eggs from. Black Mottled. I'll have a BBS group, Chocolate, and sex-linked group next year, too. I'm still testing their fertility.
