Since it is our shower I can wash it down several times a day.

They love clean up time, they chase the water around and dive into their pan of water and splash wildly.

Since it is a bathroom we don't normally use (aside from dog bathing) I can close the door to keep it nice and wam in there. They also have door with a window in it allowing lots of light in.

That's a nice set-up! Isn't it great that duck poo just washes off so easily?

I have 2 suggestions. I would add old towels and/or sheets on the floor in order to not worry about splayed legs. That's what I do. I end up washing towels about twice a day, but it's easy and not messy (compared to using shavings). Since one of my ducklings and my gosling do not live with a mom duck/goose, they do not get their feathery down oiled by her. I let them have bathing water only when I'm there to dry them off afterward. This keeps them from getting chilled due to the feathery down not drying fast enough.

Here's my set-up in my home office. I used shelving bought from Target. Off to the side, but not pictured is a heat lamp. My lone gosling and a duckling live together here.

I also have a momma duck and her 3 ducklings in the guest bathroom.

They get a clean towel 3-4 times a day when I wash everything down the drain. This is when they get to swim as well. Then I replace the dirt towel with a clean one, dry them off, tun the heat lamp back on and repeat later. Most days I am cleaning 3 times, I also have a 3 month old son, so I tend the ducklings when he naps. We are pushing upper 80's to 90 this weekend so I plan on some outside time for them too.

That sounds perfect. What a fantastic set up. I wish I had a large enough shower/bathtub to do the same thing.

It's finally in the 40s here and I was thinking of taking my oldest duckling and gosling outside for a short time, too. But 80s and 90s!? Soooooo jealous!
