1. The eggshells of the already hatched chicks

2. The hens inside nest box that I place her in to bring her
inside

3. I lifted her up do that you can see the chicks and eggs! I
mark them so that I know they are hers otherwise other
hens will lay in her box!

4. The hatched chicks and eggs! At that point there were six

5. An egg that is hatching

They were all her eggs. Well you see my chickens ( I have 50 + hens) they all lay in one nest until one becomes broody! So these eggs are probably a mixture between all of my hens!

I have a cochin bantam rooster (my avatar) and two RIR hens, a bluish silver mystery pullet that is 7 weeks old and 36 new babies that I ordered from a hatchery. They turned three weeks old yesterday. I've had other chickens in the past but am rebuilding my flock in our new home. We've been here almost two years and didn't want too many until we "felt out" the area.

Thanks! ..our rabbit climbs into the raised chicken coops and eats the incentive feed we're using to show the babies it's a nice place to go. She free ranges just like they do..
