hello there !, i have a broody isa brown and she has been broddy for about two days now , and i want to let her hatch some eggs but i dont know how ?, i want to buy some fertile ones and then put them under her ?, she is in a run and coop with two other chickens but i think you have to seperate her from them when she is sitting on them because they will desterb her and lay eggs next to her and she will get to many eggs that are unfertile ,

Questions

1, do u have to corner the hen off when she is sat on the eggs ?,

2, do u have to seperate the hens when the chicks have hatched ?,

please help

You can just put a little fence up around her. But make sure she has food and water and a little room to stretch but not much. Some people put them in dog crates but with my experience they quickly give up when they feel trapped. When any of mine go broody i just fence them off that's makes the other chickens use the other boxes to lay their eggs. If keeps the broody hen happy. You will enjoy this, its worth the little but of hassle.
