I have around 21 total chicks at the moment but one has me stumped. When she chirps she doesn’t sound like a baby chicken chick she sounds different

this is her, I also noticed she has a longer beak than the rest of the chicks, anyone have any idea of what kind of mix she could be? I also noticed she turns her head like all the way back, do all chicks do that?

Can you get a video of the sound? Upload video to youtube or similar platform and provide a link.

I don't know what she is! Frizzle/Sizzle ? Something? LOL She's cute though!

The head turning back - in the photo it looks like she's preening. Does she keep her head turned back all the time or does it seem involuntary like a spasm?

Are you talking about the rattle like sound? Is she congested?
Yes, I bought her 3 days ago, she was coughing the second day and maybe the first, I gave her some apple cider vinager with diatomaceous earth in water with a dropper, that stopped her coughing, but I noticed the second day she was pooping blood

Does coccidiosis cause congestion?
No Coccidiosis does not cause congestion like that.
I would get some Corid and begin treatment since you saw her pooping blood. Dosing is in the chart below.

She may also have a respiratory illness, hard to know. If she's not showing symptoms like mucous, watery eyes or eyes with pus, etc. then I would observe her for a few days to see if that clears up.

I started them yesterday, the good thing is she has an appetite and really likes drinking water. Her congestion does sound like it’s improving a little and thank god she doesn’t have watery eyes or pus. Her poop is looking less bloody too.
