My Chick Order

I placed my order with Ideal yesterday:

2 white frizzle cochins
6 blue wyandotte bantams

PULLETS
2 GLW
2 PR
2 EE
4 Buttercups

I wanted 2 buttercups and 2 SS but SS were sold out and didn't know when they would have more.
I ordered with a friend and we needed at least 25 for no extra roos, so just threw in a few more buttercups.

I can get a couple SS girls locally about a yr old, but not sure I want to start out with grown pullets.

Chicks will be shipped Feb. 27th

nope, i ordered from Cackle last year.

I have ordered twice from Ideal. Very happy with them. None were lost and all grew up to be great chickens. I have an order due to ship on 2/27.

your ship date is same as mine......hope you get them and they're all OK.

I was gonna order from Ideal last year but they had sold out of JG's and my son would've killed me if I had ordered and not got his.

I was very pleased with Cackle, just not happy about the minimum of 5, since I only wanted a couple of each this time.

Same here. I like that I can get one or two of a breed and I don't mind paying the extra $1. My order to come is

I added the ducks just last week. I have not told my wife, I figure when she sees how cute they are, she won't be as mad. I got two Jersey Giants in September. I think they are beautiful. Slow growers, but beautiful.

I like the bantams myself, but after my son's JG's got some size to them, I really like them.
They are big and beautiful!

I specifically asked if 25 would guarantee there would be no "males for warmth" added and she told me yes.

Between me and my friend's order, there was 26.
When I couldn't get the 2 SS, I just got 2 more buttercups to keep the 26 figure.
I'm excited, chicks to be shipped and chicks to hatch on the 26!

My Ideal order is being shipped out on the 27th also!! It is my first order ever. I am glad to see others like to get a variety, too. We have a second order coming from McMurray in April.

Now, if I can only make it 3 more weeks without adding anything. HA!
