Well hope that didn't bore you to much.

It's great that your kids are interacting with the chicks. I think kids should be thought at a young age to love and respect all living animals, and other people as well. You seem to be doing a great job at teaching them.

And your chicks are just cutie pies.

Thanks all I love my chicks and my grandkids.

I am not sure what breed they are yet. I am waiting for them to get bigger so I can tell breed and sex. I got them from McMurray Hatchery on April 23rd.

I you have any ideas on the breeds would love to hear them.

Also, we have new baby grandson, Bryan Ray, born 5/16/07, 6lbs. 1 oz. 18 inches. This is my 6th.

We call the one jumping out of the box " Jumper" .

As far as I can tell the lil chipmunk looking ones may be ameraucanas. Even the one in the first picture that is in the front and looking right at the camera may be one too. I have 5 ameraucanas and they look just like yours. I have 2 that look like chipmunks and 3 that look like the one in the first picture. They lay blue or green tinted eggs!!!

Did McMurray tell you what they sent you?

The order from McMurray was the rare breed special. It is supposed to have at least 6 different breeds but they don't specify which one. I think I have a couple of Americanas, Buff cochin and maybe a Barred Rock. I have been comparing them to the pics in the catalog but they keep changing.
