My chicken can't see 😭

I've looked everywhere and can't find any..even within a 45min radius and still nothing..I do have regular neosporin..I also have her food dish hanging higher in air for her and she also eats out of my hand..I think she may be able to slightly see out if one eye only because when she turns a certain way it's like she sees it in my hand and will come over and eat..I had no idea you could use neosporin..I feel horrible I would've done it a few days ago!! I'm a bad chicken mom dag gone it! I'm sorry

Where are you located? Terramycin is restricted in California, from what it says on the package.

I do have some vetericyn spray..from what I'm reading about it, it says it can be used for the eye? What's your thoughts on that?

The eye gel is specifically for the eye, but if you get the spray into the eyes, it is probably fine. Here is a look at all of their Veteicyn products:

I use Bauch and Lomb Eye Relief Eye Wash for flushing eyes. It is safe for humans and animals. Then I follow with an antibiotic ointment, Terramycin eye ointment for animals. I have used Neosporin ointment in a pinch.

So my white silkie Thelma, all the sudden lost her eye site ..there's little bubbles around her eye? I've flushed it out with eye solution for the past few days but I don't see any changes? Any suggestions please? Thank you

Update on my Thelma (so sorry for late update..my new puppies are a handful!) But long story short, she basically had a cold..she got some antibiotics and is doing great now!! The stuff that came out of her nose was horrible smelling but she allowed me to clean it out for her!! I guess she feels the love lol! She started laying again too so yay 3 eggs a day now instead of only 2!! But I still have to wait another week before we can start eating them..so over the hill they go for now! Thanks for all the advice I really appreciated it!

What antibiotic helped her symptoms? Glad that she is better, but instead of colds, chickens get chronic respiratory diseases. Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) is common and coryza is another. Coryza smells bad, but testing would be needed to confirm which disease. Survivors are carriers for life. MG can also be passed through hatching eggs. The best thing is to close your flock and never rehome or sell birds until all are gone. You may never have another outbreak, but she or others could have an outbreak again.

I honestly don't know what it was called..it was a shot in her back is where she received it and it was a real dark color? I knew it wasn't called a actual cold, I just didn't know correct term lol..to me, they have a living room, play area which is outside the coop and then their bedroom where they have my babies! I have no dudes so no real babies will be happening lol..I'll ask my cousin what the name of medicine was! I recall him saying it was like $70 but I'll get the name of it!
