My chicken has not laid an egg in over a week

HI guys the only chicken I have laying and has ever laid is my cuckoo maran. She started laying in august. She did start out laying every other day mainly in the afternoons. Now she hasnt laid in over a week. Is there something wrong is this normal.

Did you move her to a different coop? Sometimes stress will cause chickens to stop laying, and they get stressed easily.

Is she free ranging? Chickens will find their own favorite place to lay if they have access to bushes, trees, etc.

My hens have shut down for a while now. I get a few random eggs throughout the week but nothing like I had been getting. Many factors can cause them to stop laying and not all of them are negative. Weather, molting, stress, etc.. I'd just be alert and if she seems otherwise healthy I'd say it's fine (barring an extended hiatus)

NO i have them in a coop i live in suburbia with a thrid acre backyard. I did build her a new bigger run along with all of the other chickens i have.

If there are fluffy feathers all over .. she’s moulting and won’t lay for awhile . Building her a new run was nice of you, but she could stop laying because stress can do that

I am in Jacksonville FL, no the weather rarely ever changes except for like two and a half months between November and February. She is 26 weeks she is not molting that i know of but she might here in the next few weeks. I have seen feathers around the run. Yes she loves to eat when i giver her food and eats throughout the day, i see her drink when i go out to see her around 3 and all of them poop all the time.
