My favorite Polish pullet Eggness is dying. She is 14 weeks old and has been in good health. My pullets are currently in a very large indoor coop on our enclosed porch during weekdays when I'm not home. Last night I went to check on them and refiled their water containers with fresh water, which I do every morning and night. Eggness flew down and drank for a long time, which she usually doesn't do once she's fallen asleep with the other chickens. She then laid by the water and slept there. I thought she had just fallen asleep again and didn't think anything o it. This morning I found her near the water, laying awkwardly and still. She seems like she will pass within a couple of hours. Is there anything I can do? I also can't figure out why she got sick. It got hot yesterday and maybe she overheated. But they had fresh water and I turned their air conditioner on at noon. They have their own airconditioner just for the porch. I'm just so sad about her passing. All of the other pullets were standing around her and clearly upset.

Bring her in, warm her up. Give her some corn syrup or molasses, sometimes that wakes animals up enough to eat and drink more.

does she have any injuries? was she attacked? she could be in shock, give her some honey. It could also be genetic or a hatching problem, they usually appear as the chickens starts puberty.

Thank you all so much. I was going to try the syrup and heat lamp, but she didn't make it.

She died a few minutes ago with the rest of her flock standing around. She hadn't been attacked, I don't know what happened. The others appear sad. I'll keep an eye on them in case they start to appear sick. Thank you.
