Hello from Elbert County Colorado,
I've been a fan of BYC since March when we got 6 chicks. I just now finally joined. All of the info is great! Not long after I moved the chicks outside, some stray dog (his collar got stuck in the fence) dug a hole under the fence and killed all but one while I was gone. The survivor was badly injured. Back to BYC for info on how to save her. She is now doing good and I've ordered six more chicks to try again. I've also built a Chicken Fort Knox!

I am sorry to hear about your loss. We had our neighbors dog come over here and kill 13 off of 8 week old BO. It was the sadest sight to see.

I am glad you were able to save one and hopefully your newly ordered chicks will do fine in Chicken Fort Knox.
