My Ameracauna just died this morning. She was just a little over a year old. She showed no signs of illness till i found her this morning laying on the ground outside her nesting box. She was very weak and could barely move. She attempted to stand and eat with the other chickens but couldnt. I gave her some fresh water and she took a sip and than curled her head back into her feathers. I held her close to me and noticed she was a little thin. Again, she was perfectly find the day before. She was happy, energetic and always the first to eat. I dont understand what happened. When she died she released a white liquid from her mouth and butt. Does anyone know what may have been wrong with my chicken? I have other chickens too and would like to know how I can prevent this from happening to them. I cleaned out their house real good and sprayed for mites and live if any. Tomorrow I will be mixing garlic into their water for worms if any. I am trying to take any necessary precautions that could harm my chickens. Please help someone
