This morning I went out to feed my chickens and one of them had suddenly died. She was totally fine and healthy looking yesterday and had no symptoms of disease or problems. Any suggestions?

I have one other chicken in the same coop and am worried about keeping a single chicken. Any thoughts?

Do you have any reason to suspect predation?
If so you could lose the other bird tonight.
You might consider a safe relocation for the survivor.
It would also give you an opportunity to examine her.
If you have handled the dead one, clean up well before doing this.
Any evidence to indicate what might have occurred?
How old was she? Any abnormalities, such as at crop or vent?

From your what your post said, I'm guessing she was alive when you went out there then died suddenly while you were feeding the chickens, right?

If this is the case, it more than likely was a heart attack. I wouldn't suspect any disease at this point, just for that fact that she and the rest of your flock are healthy. At any rate, it is sad and I'm so sorry for your loss.
