I've been wanting chickens for the past few years. As a child I would visit Grandma and feed their chicks, also collecting the eggs. A great memory!
Thurs, 8/13 I got my chicks. I have 2 Isa browns ( Pearl & Daisy Duke), 1 australorp (Ellie Mae), & 2 sapphire gems ( Hattie & Susie Q). Pearl will now get on my hand and sit.
My hobbies include painting with oils and watercolors and gardening. I grow vegetables and herbs.
I am a retired nurse. I am married with my 49th anniversary coming up. We have 2 grown sons and 4 grandchildren ages 18 to 4.
I have a super dog that is a rescue and a rescue black cat ( I think she's scared of my chicks).
I found this site when I was looking for information about caring for my girls. I decided this would be a great resource and sharing site.
