Hi there! Thank you for welcoming me to the community. To make it easy, I’ll just answer the sample questions.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Family members of mine have owned chickens since forever, so it’s not like I’ve never been around them. I finally got my own about a month ago after much debate.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
2 young ones, one about 2 months and the other 6 days old.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Honestly not sure, they came from a farm I spend time at, so it could be any mixture
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
As someone suffering from depression, having something to look after and take care of is enough to push me out of bed, even though I won’t take care of myself, having something rely on me is enough to get me outside.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like drawing, gaming, sleeping, nothing too unusual.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my family, and I have two siblings and one dog, a King Charles Cavalier. She’s a cutie.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
In preparation for my chickens, I did a whole bunch of research and this was the most frequent and useful site. I joined because I’ve got some funny chickens that I’d like to know more about.
