My chickens are such chickens!

After work I come home and change into my "grungy clothes", grab a snack for the chicks and run out to the coop so they can free range for a couple of hours. Well, one day last week I got home later than usual so I just grabbed a snack for them and headed outside still wearing my "office attire". Well, you would have thought I was an alien coming! They wouldn't come anywhere near me until they figured out, "Hey, that looks like the same lady that gives us goodies, what the heck she is wearing?" I had to take off my watch, ring and bracelets before they would take anything from my hand! They are very leery of anything out of the ordinary.

LOL. I don't dare go out holding the Umbrella Monster. Or if I am wearing my hot pink muumuu, they scatter. HAHAHA! My geese even hiss at me if I wear that.
You are right, they are SUCH chickens!

Haha, thats great. Chickens are so silly. I had my tiny silkie roo attack my hand once to save me from the scary watering can that was trying to eat my fingers while his hen scattered.

The other day I did something I never do: I painted my toenails bright red. Then, when my nails were almost dry, I put on some sandals and went into the chicken coop to give the chickens their dinner. MISTAKE!! Instantly my toes were ATTACKED! They must have though I'd replaced my toes with strawberries or something. Ouch!!!

You should have seen the polish once I escaped all those fierce beaks. Totally wrecked!
