My chickens are too fussy!

I've read on here about how chickens just LOVE mealworms and BOSS.....not mine!! I'm trying to get them to eat more protein because of a feather picking issue, but of course they won't eat it. I put it with their food, in my hand, in the run...no luck. So frustrating! They are about 17 weeks old. They sure love leaves though! Silly chickens.

you can get them to eat more protein by upping the content of protein in their feed. Mine wouldn't eat bugs if I fed them to them either. maybe try a game cock feed - they tend to be higher. I know some people say cat food but just as many will say don't feed cat food.
