My chickens ate their first egg

Probably not the same bird...and it does look like a toe poke.
You can expect a few or more odd eggs as they get started laying.
Just out of curiosity, with new layers will they lay on a schedule (like regularly), or will they skip several days?

Sunday we got a very light colored egg, no egg Monday, Tuesday got a darkish brown egg (I assumed whoever laid the light color egg would have laid yesterday) then today so far got a medium brown egg with spots on it. The one today, was laid by my isa brown/red sexlink, I know it was her because I had caught her on the nest and about 10 minutes later she left the coop (she was the only one in the coop) and there was an egg in the nest. I'm just so glad she laid it in the nest and not on the floor, this one is the first egg that wasn't injured/cracked.

Depends on the bird, but most will get on some kind of schedule eventually
They can be all over the place at first,
in quality, timing, and location.
Things usually get in sync within a month.
Thank y'all. I wasn't sure if they would lay regularly or if they would skip several days. Just trying to determine if all 3 eggs were laid by the same chicken or if I do have multiple laying. I'll just continue keeping an eye out and watching who is in the nests. I'm sure if there is more than one laying, eventually there will be more than 1 egg in a day.
