I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot (I didn't see an Info on Egg thread). I went out of town over Labor Day and I came home to find my chickens laid a dozen and 1/2 eggs!! I was so excited!! But how safe are they to eat at this point? How long can they be outside in the heat? I feel like I should throw them out since I don't know exactly when they were laid? I've spent so much time and effort raising them and keeping them alive that I haven't researched how to handle their eggs. Any tips/ advice will be greatly appreciated.

Wow, what a 'first egg' experience!

They should be fine.
When in doubt open each egg one at time in a dish before adding it to pan or recipe.
A good look and sniff will tell the tale.
