my chickens lay down under the coop

um hi i was wondering if anybody new why my chickens lay down under the coop
i dont no so any one who does GREAT!

Mine go under the coop every afternoon during the hottest part of the day. Georgia summers can be brutal!

ok um so what do i put in there nesting boxs

They need neither heat lamp or artificial light to lay eggs. Once chicks are fully feathered at about six weeks they don't need heat. Lights in the winter to increase the day, fools them into laying more than they naturally would.For the nest boxes you can use wood shavings, straw or any soft material
