I made this feeder (https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...te-5-gallon-25-feed-bucket-feeder-for-about-3)
and my chickens won't eat out of it! They are like 3 months old, and I have tried showing them soooooo many times by putting their heads in the pipe, but they are just to stupid. I also pecked at it with my fingers so they would get the idea, and I tried sprinkling food on the end of the pipe. They'll take like 2 pecks off the end of the pipe and leave. I pretty sure it's not because they aren't hungry, since all the food they've had is in the feeder. I just don't want them to starve and die, but I am so frustrated. Plz help

How long ago did you install the new feeder? If anything, I've learned chickens need time to adapt to changes. I thought mine would never learn how to use bucket waterers with poultry nipples, but I just gave them time and they learned.

If it were me, I'd put their favorite treat in there on top of the food (meal worms are my birds' favorite) to entice them. Pushing their heads in there is probably not the best way to get them interested in doing what you want. :)

I installed it 3 days ago. I will definitely try that. Thank you for your advice!
