My chickens turned 18 weeks about a week and a half ago we set out a nesting box to start. My chickens will go in but they won't lay an egg. I don't know if maybe they are too young or if I am doing something wrong. Help please.

18 weeks is too young. I would even consider 20-22 early for most breeds.

I feed them a mix of food that includes dry corn, seeds, and regular chicken feed.
The extra fatty seeds aren’t good for production or health when they aren’t just treats. The birds will pick through the food and become malnourished.
What is the amount of corn/seeds to food?

I feed them a half a cup of seed and 2 cups of dried corn and regular chicken feed

Increase the protein content of your feed to 18%
Wait until they are 6/7 months old.
Ensure they are adequately heated if you experience snow / cold temps.
